What is included with a Lie Detector Test?

Q – What do you get with a polygraph lie detector test?
A – A typical exam will include the EXAMINATION itself and the WRITTEN REPORT.  See details below.

THE EXAMINATION PROCESS INCLUDES:

  • Collection of case information needed to administer the exam
  • The pre-test interview of the person being tested, including collection of health and suitability information, and in-depth discussion of the test issues themselves
  • Design of test questions based on the information provided and the pre-test interview
  • Review of test questions with the person being tested
  • The data collection (in phase) part, where the person being tested is connected to the polygraph equipment while being asked questions
  • Analysis of the charts (Test Data Analysis)
  • The entire lie detector testing process can take 1.5 to 2.5 hours
  • Click HERE for more information about APA Testing Standards

THE WRITTEN REPORT INCLUDES:

OPTIONALLY INCLUDED, AT THE EXAMINER’S DISCRETION:

  • Printouts of Score Sheets
  • Polygraph Charts / Polygrams (additional fees may apply)
  • Audio or Video recordings of the exam (additional fees may apply)

WHY ARE SOME GPN TESTING LOCATIONS SO EXPENSIVE?

  • First, note that we don’t set the exam fees for our Examiners
  • More experienced Examiners tend to charge more than less experienced Examiners
  • The published exam fees include all of the Examiner’s travel expenses, and some of our Examiners travel great distances (at significant expense) to reach the exam site
