who we are
BRIEF COMPANY HISTORY
During the 1980’s owner Michael Martin began regularly conducting polygraph exams for national media organizations which generated a great deal of demand for Michael’s services. Unfortunately, outside of Michael’s basic service area clients were finding it difficult to afford the prohibitive fees necessary for Michael to travel to locations elsewhere in the United States. Michael began to enlist the aid of other qualified polygraph examiners to handle this additional workload, within a few years the volume of cases had become too great to support an informal network, and in 1987 the concept for the Nationwide Polygraph Network was born. For the first time, clients all over the United States were able to locate and hire highly qualified private examiners using this new “Network” solution. Due to the overwhelming response to this concept, requests began to flood in from Canada and other countries as well, so in 2003 the Nationwide Polygraph Network became the Global Polygraph Network®. GPN members now offer testing at over 500 different locations in dozens of countries worldwide.
UPDATE: In 2023, GPN received its U.S. Trademark, legally establishing and protecting the brand.
