EXAM ROOM REQUIREMENTS

• The room that you provide must be quiet, and free from distracting noises and other interference (ie. crying babies, barking dogs, telephones, television, nearby conversations).
• No one other than the Examinee and Examiner (and possibly the Examiner’s assistant or interpreter) are permitted in the exam room.
• If the exam is to be conducted on a female in a private home, we will require another person to be present in the home during the exam.
• If someone else is in the home during the exam, that person must not produce any sounds that are likely to be heard by the person being tested. Extraneous noises will cause interference.
• Room temperature should be comfortable, between 70 and 73 degrees F (21 and 23 C).
• There must be a table (at least 18 inches X 30 inches), two non-rolling chairs, adequate lighting, and a nearby electrical outlet.
• The exam may not be recorded without the Examiner’s knowledge and approval.
• This room may be inside someone’s home or office, or may be a rented meeting room at a hotel. However, we will not provide testing in a hotel room or bedroom, for obvious ethical reasons.
• Convenient parking for the examiner must be readily available on sites.
• This room must be provided at the customer’s expense, as it is not included in the exam fee.
